Netherlands now has 962 cybersecurity companies, up from 233
The Netherlands had 962 cybersecurity companies at the start of the fourth quarter of 2026, against 233 in the same quarter of 2021, the Chamber of Commerce (KVK) says.
The number of cybersecurity firms in the Netherlands has grown sharply. At the start of 2020 there were only slightly more than one hundred, according to the KVK, the Chamber of Commerce.
These companies advise other businesses and organisations on data protection and online safety. They can also manage online systems and train other organisations' staff in cyber security.

KVK (Kamer van Koophandel)
The Chamber of Commerce is the Dutch national register of businesses. Companies and sole traders in the Netherlands are required to register with it, and it keeps the public Handelsregister, a database of registered businesses with details such as their activity and registration date. Because of this register, the KVK is the usual source for counts of how many companies operate in a given sector.
