Regional bus and train staff strike again on Thursday
Bus drivers and train staff in regional public transport stop work on Thursday, unions FNV and CNV said, after a first strike day last week.
Bus drivers and train staff in regional public transport will strike again on Thursday, unions FNV and CNV said.
The unions earlier announced they would strike one day a week until Christmas. The first strike was last Wednesday, when fewer buses and regional trains ran in various places in the Netherlands.
An executive of FNV Streekvervoer said: "Our colleagues sent a strong signal on 14 October. They showed in large numbers that they do not accept their employment conditions being stripped back. But employers still do not listen enough. That is why we are striking again."
