Police have arrested a 26-year-old man from Papendrecht over a kidnapping and a violent home robbery on 30 July. Two other suspects remain in custody.
Police arrested a third suspect on Monday over a kidnapping and a violent home robbery on 30 July. He is a 26-year-old man from Papendrecht.
Two other men were arrested earlier in the case: a 23-year-old from Papendrecht and a 21-year-old from Rotterdam. Police say both are still in custody.
A 20-year-old woman was taken against her will at a carpool site in Papendrecht on the evening of 30 July and left in a car in Oud-Alblas. She escaped late that evening.
The same evening, relatives of the woman were tied up and threatened with knives and firearms in a home robbery on the Prinsenlaan in Rotterdam-Alexander.
Searches of the first two suspects' homes found a firearm with ammunition at one address, and items that may have been stolen in the robbery. The investigation continues.
