Fortuna Sittard and Telstar drew 2-2 in the Eredivisie, the top football league in the Netherlands, on Saturday. All four goals came in the first half, and the second half stayed goalless.

Fortuna took the lead from a penalty scored by Mohamed Ihattaren. The spot kick was awarded after a foul by Gabi Caschili on Jasper Dahlhaus.

Shortly before half-time, Telstar's Sem Valk scored an own goal, which put Fortuna two goals ahead. His back-pass went over goalkeeper Ronald Koeman and into the net. Abdelnour Soualhia then headed in a free kick from Patrick Brouwer to make it a one-goal game. Brouwer himself equalised in first-half stoppage time.

After the break, neither side could find a goal. Goalkeepers Mattijs Branderhorst and Ronald Koeman both kept their goals clean. The score at full time was therefore the same as it had been at half-time.
