Albert Heijn delivers groceries at normal level again
Albert Heijn has delivered groceries at its usual level since Wednesday, after the cyber incident that led it to switch off many computer systems.
Albert Heijn has delivered groceries at its usual level again since Wednesday, a spokesperson said. The spokesperson said the plan was to deliver fully again that day, and that this succeeded. Deliveries to homes and workplaces restarted on Friday after problems caused by the cyberattack, but only a third of normal capacity was available then. The chain switched off many computer systems during the incident.
Orders cancelled earlier are being made up. "We have since compensated this group of customers, and we have also been able to deliver again to a large share of them," the spokesperson said. The chain says the forecasts for the coming week look good and it looks forward to a full week of normal home delivery.
