Voorst petrol station closes for good on Saturday

The DCO petrol station at Rijksstraatweg 182a in Voorst closes for good on Saturday. Euro 95 petrol and diesel cost €1 a litre between 16.00 and 17.00, its last opening hour, and the pumps shut at 17.00 sharp.

Each customer may take at most 100 litres, and filling jerrycans is not allowed.

The station opens at 8.00. A low promotional price applies until 16.00 and will be announced on its Facebook page that morning. Two traffic marshals and a six-person team from the station will try to keep the day running smoothly.

Jan de Croon jr. said it feels special to say goodbye to Voorst after 38 years.

"We are in full talks with the municipality of Voorst about building a new petrol station at De Kar," he said.
