Calmer, mostly dry week ahead after weekend storms
After a weekend of two named storms and heavy rain, the Netherlands heads into a calmer week, with an unusually warm Tuesday for late October.
From Wednesday, forecasters expect calmer weather, with mostly dry days and sunshine.
Storm Austen passed over the Netherlands on Friday. It was not an official storm here, but it brought heavy rain. Storm Boelo followed and did count as an official storm, with average wind force 9 for an hour on Vlieland.
Monday is expected to be the most unsettled day of the week, with temperatures of 12 to 14C and a fairly strong wind. Weerplaza meteorologist Johnny Willemsen says cloud will build during the day and rain will arrive from the west.
Forecasters say fog is possible in the mornings later in the week.
