Minimum wage rises to €15.29 an hour from 1 January

The statutory minimum wage will go up to €15.29 on 1 January 2027, the second indexation in a year, Social Affairs Minister Vijlbrief has told parliament.

The statutory minimum wage will be €15.29 from 1 January 2027, Social Affairs and Employment Minister Vijlbrief has said in a letter to the Tweede Kamer, the lower house of parliament.

The new rate will be up from €14.99, the level since 1 July, when the minimum wage rose with inflation from €14.71.

The rise is an indexation, as the Wet minimumloon en minimumvakantiebijslag (minimum wage act) requires in article 14, the letter says. The regulation providing for it will soon be sent to the Staatscourant, the official gazette, for publication. An identical letter is being sent to the Senate's social affairs committee.
