Dutch immigration dips slightly to 38,367 in August

Immigration to the Netherlands was slightly lower in August 2026 than in August 2025, according to Statistics Netherlands (CBS). In August 2025, 39,241 people registered; a year later the figure was 38,367.

Registrations were 38,252 in September 2025, then fell to 25,969 in October. They stayed between 18,062 and 23,859 a month from November to June, with May 2026 the lowest at 18,062.

The count then rose to 21,339 in June and 23,148 in July, before the jump to 38,367 in August.
