wijkraad

A wijkraad is a neighbourhood council: a local body that represents a wijk (neighbourhood) within a Dutch municipality and takes part in decisions on matters affecting that area. It gives residents a formal voice in local issues, such as how neighbourhood activities and funds are used, and it works alongside the municipal government.
