Lelylijn

The Lelylijn is a planned railway line that would link Lelystad with the north of the Netherlands, including Groningen and Friesland. It is a long-discussed project meant to improve rail connections between these regions and the rest of the national network. Building it requires a route, a budget and a funding source, which is why the government regularly studies its feasibility and financing.
