AEX

The AEX is the main stock market index of the Amsterdam stock exchange, Euronext Amsterdam. It tracks the share prices of the largest and most actively traded companies listed there, and its movements are the standard reference for how the Dutch stock market is doing. Dutch news reports daily on whether the AEX rose or fell at the close of trading, so a record closing level means the index finished the day higher than at any earlier close.
