Two arrested over killing of man in Vlissingen

Police have arrested two suspects from Vlissingen, aged 17 and 20, over the death of a man in the Zeeland town. Both are in custody.

The man was found injured on the Meindert Hobbemalaan on Wednesday 28 October at about 23.45. Officers and ambulance staff went to the scene, but it was too late to help him. Police say he was the victim of a crime.

A murder investigation team (Team Grootschalige Opsporing) has worked flat out in recent days to trace the suspects. Police searched homes and seized items that they say could help establish the truth about the death.

The two are being held under restrictions, which means they may only have contact with their lawyer.
