Father takes two sons to police after Breda bus clash

Police are investigating a clash between two groups of young people in Breda in which an 18-year-old was wounded, probably stabbed or cut, and say more arrests may follow.

A father took his two sons to the police after a clash between two groups in Breda on Saturday evening, police said. In the clash a young man on a bus was wounded and another was beaten and forced to transfer money.

Police had traced one suspect through the bank account details when his father came forward with him and his brother to report them. "More arrests may follow," a police spokesperson said.

Police said that as a group of young men boarded the bus, one of them was pulled out by his clothes. His friend, the 18-year-old, was already on the bus and went to help, and a brief scuffle broke out in the doorway. The driver shut the doors and pulled away, and only then did the 18-year-old notice a bleeding wound, apparently from a stabbing or cutting. The man who had been pulled off the bus stayed behind with his attackers and was hit several times before being made to transfer money to the account of one of them.
