Mild day with highs of up to 19 degrees turns wet this afternoon
Rain reaches the coast around mid-afternoon today and spreads inland. From tomorrow, mostly dry weather with sunny spells follows through the weekend.
Today starts with cloud and occasional sun and stays dry in the morning. Rain begins along the coast and in the north-west around mid-afternoon, then spreads across the rest of the country. Afternoon highs range from about 16 degrees in the north-west to 19 in Limburg.
The rain moves away to the east in the evening and skies clear. Mist or fog is possible overnight, mainly in the east. Overnight temperatures fall to between 10 degrees at sea and 6 inland.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, will stay dry. Once any mist clears, sunny spells alternate with cumulus cloud (stapelbewolking), and the afternoon high is 14 or 15 degrees. In the evening it turns cloudy in the north, with possible drizzle. Thursday may start with local mist or low cloud, then brings sunny spells and stays dry, again at around 15 degrees.
Friday and the weekend are expected to stay dry, with sunny spells and occasional morning mist or low cloud. Afternoon highs will be about 13 degrees.
