Man, 24, arrested after shooting between cars in Rotterdam
Police have arrested a 24-year-old Rotterdam man after shots were fired from one car at another in the Veelzigtstraat. They are asking witnesses to come forward.
An arrest team detained a 24-year-old man from Rotterdam on suspicion of involvement in a shooting in the Veelzigtstraat, police said. They received the report at about 16.35. Witnesses told officers that someone fired from a car at another car, and the shooter's car then drove off at high speed.
The car was seen shortly afterwards on the Korfmakerstraat. The possible suspect fled from it into a home on the Taanderstraat, where he was arrested.
Police launched an investigation straight away and do not rule out more arrests. They are asking anyone who saw or heard something near the Korfmakerstraat or Taanderstraat and has not yet spoken to them to get in touch.
