ING to cut 400 wholesale banking jobs worldwide
The bank announced the cuts on Thursday, as it reported a third-quarter net profit of €1.85bn, up 3.5% on a year earlier.
ING is cutting 400 jobs worldwide at its business division, which serves companies (wholesale banking), the bank announced on Thursday. Employees who lose their job will be helped to find a new position within or outside ING.
The bank made a net profit of €1.85bn in the third quarter of this year, 3.5% more than in the same period last year. Its interest income rose 15% in the quarter.
Across the Dutch financial services sector, CBS counted 235,000 jobs in July 2026 (seasonally adjusted), down from 242,000 in December 2025. The ING cuts are worldwide, and the CBS count covers the Netherlands only.
