The Netherlands is heading for several dry, fairly sunny days, but the nights are turning cold. Weeronline says light frost is possible regionally in the second half of the week, and in the night to Friday the temperature could drop below zero in several places inland for the first time this autumn.

Tuesday starts mostly cloudy with local light drizzle. The cloud clears from the east during the morning, and the sun breaks through regularly in the afternoon. Highs reach 10 to 11 degrees, but a moderate north-easterly wind, fairly strong near the coast, makes it feel noticeably cooler. Overnight lows are 2 to 6 degrees.

Wednesday stays dry, with a chilly start of about 4 degrees and afternoon highs of 9 to 10. Thursday begins very cold, with temperatures just above freezing inland. The sun then shines and it warms to around 9 degrees.

Saturday looks like the coldest day. A forecast from the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) model for Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and Eindhoven puts highs at 7 to 9 degrees, with night lows of 0 to 2 degrees. Sunday could reach 10 to 11 degrees again.
