Apple admits inner screen fault on foldable iPhone Duo
Customers say the inner screen of the €1,900-plus phone cracked within hours or days. Apple says it knows of a fault on a small number of devices, while Dutch telecom shops keep selling it.
Apple has acknowledged a problem with the inner screen of its first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, after a growing number of customers complained that the screen cracked after only a few hours or days.
In a statement, Apple said it is aware of "a problem with the inner screen of a small number of iPhone Duo devices".
The phone is still on sale at several Dutch telecom shops, with prices from €1,900 to more than €3,800.
Customers could pre-order the iPhone Duo from 16 October. It went on sale officially last Friday. The first reports of broken screens appeared on social media.
