The Netherlands, explained

opkoopbescherming

Buy-up protection is a municipal instrument that lets a municipality designate an area where purchases of existing homes, for example by investors who want to rent them out, require a permit. It is used to keep homes in a neighbourhood available for the people who live there and to limit the buying up of homes in bulk.
