Nationale Deelneming Warmte is a national public company that takes stakes in regional public heat companies, which build and manage the heat networks that deliver warmth to homes and buildings. It is one of the partners that a province can bring in to set up such a company. Its role is to provide public capital and expertise for the shift away from gas-based heating.
