A fatbike is a bicycle with very wide, low-pressure tyres, built for riding on sand, snow and other soft or uneven ground. It is used in the Netherlands like any other bicycle, and electric versions with pedal assist also exist. In traffic reports, the term identifies the type of bicycle involved in an accident.
