ekv (exportkredietverzekering)
The Dutch state export credit insurance scheme, carried out by Atradius Dutch State Business, that insures Dutch exporters against non-payment by foreign buyers. The government runs it to support Dutch companies that sell abroad, so the scheme is often discussed in relation to trade and development policy. Because it uses public money, its management and any suspected misuse are subject to parliamentary scrutiny.
