codeshare
A codeshare is an arrangement in which two airlines sell and list the same flight under their own flight numbers, while only one of them operates the aircraft. Passengers can book a route through either airline, even though a single carrier flies it. Codeshares let airlines offer wider route networks without operating every flight themselves, and they are subject to aviation rules set by the countries involved.
