Two men badly beaten up near Amsterdam Central Station
Amsterdam police are looking for witnesses and camera footage after two 27-year-old men were badly beaten up near Central Station on Saturday evening.
Two 27-year-old men were badly beaten up on the Prins Hendrikkade in Amsterdam at about 22.30 on Saturday evening. They were walking from Stationsplein towards the Damrak, near the Victoria hotel, when they were attacked. Police say several suspects were probably involved.
One of the men was seriously injured and taken to hospital. Police say his life is no longer in danger. Detectives are investigating what happened and are asking witnesses, and anyone with security-camera or dashcam footage, to come forward. The spot is busy at that hour, police said, so passers-by probably saw or heard something. Tips can be given on 0900-8844, or anonymously on 0800-7000.
