Klaver finds no blockade to taxing the very richest
PRO leader Jesse Klaver and Volt's Laurens Dassen met the prime minister and finance minister on Tuesday evening. Klaver says he heard no blockade on taxing the very richest.
PRO leader Jesse Klaver and Volt's Laurens Dassen held talks with Prime Minister Rob Jetten and Finance Minister Eelco Heinen about the tax plan. Afterwards Klaver called the talks positive. "I have not heard a blockade on taxing the very richest," he said.
Klaver said he does not know whether the cabinet has the political will to reach agreements with PRO and Volt on the plan. He is waiting to see what the cabinet comes up with.
Dassen also called it a good conversation. He said the ball is now in the cabinet's court and that talks should resume as soon as possible. "As far as we are concerned, we continue tomorrow morning," he said.
