Albert Heijn IT problems not yet solved, extra deliveries to stores on Tuesday
Albert Heijn and sister companies are still dealing with IT problems, and the supermarket chain keeps warning of empty shelves in some stores.
The IT problems at Albert Heijn and its sister companies have not yet been resolved. A spokesperson for parent company Ahold Delhaize said on Tuesday morning that the group is "working hard" (hard bezig) on solving the problem.
Albert Heijn is sending its supermarkets extra stock on Tuesday. The chain keeps warning of empty shelves. It says the situation differs from store to store and by product category.
Albert Heijn expects long-life products, non-food, frozen products and bread to stay better stocked than certain fresh products, such as vegetables and fruit.
"We are working hard to fully restore our delivery capacity," the chain said.
