Police found the body of a woman in a home on the Berkenrodelaan in Tilburg on Sunday. A police spokesperson said she may have died as a result of a crime.

Officers are carrying out an investigation in and around the home. No arrests have been made so far.

According to the spokesperson, the woman was found late in the morning. During the afternoon, police began to suspect that a crime could be involved.

The spokesperson said a natural death has not yet been ruled out.

Police are still looking into what led to the suspicion of a crime. "We are investigating that," the spokesperson said.

A large part of the street around the house has been cordoned off with tape. Several vehicles used by police detectives and a Plaats Delict unit, a special police forensic investigation vehicle, are at the scene. A team is also carrying out house-to-house inquiries, speaking with people who live nearby.
