> A young man probably involved in last Saturday's disorder at Walibi Holland has posted a letter on his TikTok saying he is banned for five years, while the park declines to comment and brings in extra measures for this weekend.

Park management warns in the letter: "If you enter the grounds despite the ban, Walibi can call the police immediately." It says security approached him for breaking the house rules and that the park does not tolerate such behaviour.

Last weekend dozens of young people sought confrontations near the main stage and the entrance, caused damage and fought each other. The Mobiele Eenheid (riot police) had to clear the grounds. Walibi is introducing various measures for the coming weekend.

A Walibi spokesperson would not comment on the letter or on any bans while the evaluation is under way. The park is carefully evaluating what happened last Saturday, what lessons can be drawn and which extra measures are needed. "We do not want to pre-empt the outcome, nor contribute to unrest or speculation," the spokesperson said, adding that the focus is on the safety of guests and staff at the coming Fright Nights.

## Background

- **Mobiele Eenheid**: The Mobile Unit is the specialised riot police unit of the Dutch national police (Politie). Its officers are trained to restore public order, control crowds and handle disturbances, such as violent confrontations at large events or demonstrations. It is deployed alongside local police when the situation becomes too serious for regular patrols to manage.
