# Voorst petrol station closes for good on Saturday

The DCO petrol station on the Rijksstraatweg in Voorst closes for good on Saturday. In its last hour, from 16:00, it will sell Euro 95 petrol and diesel for €1 per litre. The pumps shut at 17:00 sharp.

No more than 100 litres may be filled. Filling jerrycans is not allowed.

The station opens at 8:00 and charges a reduced promotional price until 16:00. The price is announced on Facebook in the morning. Anyone buying at least 20 litres gets a free car wash, and a prize wheel offers a chance to win a free tank of fuel.

Jan de Croon jr., whose family ran the station for 38 years, said: "It is special to say goodbye to Voorst after 38 years. We have always enjoyed it here enormously. But business also means looking ahead."

The family is "in full talks" with the municipality of Voorst about a new petrol station at De Kar, De Croon said. New homes are planned on the old site.
