A man with a large knife robbed a liquor store employee on the Pastoor van Spaandonkstraat in Breda on the afternoon of Tuesday 25 August. He left with cash and a bottle of liquor.

The robber walked in wearing heavy clothing despite the warm weather and went straight at the employee. He grabbed him and forced him into the office. There he demanded money, saying he needed it because his father was reportedly ill.

The employee had to put down his phone and hand over money. Police say it apparently took too long for the robber. Still holding the knife, he took a bottle of liquor and put it in his bag. Back in the shop, he made the employee take money from the till drawer, put it in his bag and left.

## Description

Police say the man is about one metre eighty to one metre eighty-five tall. He wore a black jacket, tracksuit trousers, sunglasses and a black scarf over his face. Police also point to his white plastic gloves and his cap with a white, flat peak.

A camera filmed him riding a women's bicycle before he reached the shop. Police are asking anyone who knows who he is, or where he can be found, to contact them.
