No trains will run between Goes and Vlissingen, in the province of Zeeland, from Saturday 14 November to Sunday 22 November. Work is planned at stations on this stretch of line, and NS is putting on replacement buses for all nine days.

**Why it matters**

- On weekdays, express buses (snelbussen) will run between Vlissingen and Kruiningen-Yerseke, and between Middelburg and Kruiningen-Yerseke.
- In the weekday rush hour, express buses will also run between Middelburg and Goes.
- At all other times, local buses will call at every station on the route.

At Middelburg station, the platform, the lifts and the pedestrian tunnel are being renewed during the closure. ProRail is replacing rails and sleepers, among other work, at the stations of Goes, Arnemuiden and Vlissingen.

## Background

- **ProRail**: ProRail is the Dutch state-owned organisation that manages the national rail infrastructure: the tracks, switches, signalling, and overhead lines, plus the traffic control that keeps trains running. It is responsible for building, maintaining, and renewing the railway network, including work at stations such as replacing rails and sleepers. Railway operators such as NS use the network that ProRail manages, so its work often causes temporary closures or disruptions to train services.
