The Conservatrix Groep, the former shareholder of the collapsed life insurer Conservatrix, is holding De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), the Dutch central bank, and the Dutch state liable for €53m in damages.

The group says the claim follows from an earlier ruling by the court that DNB committed fraud (bedrog) around an attempt to rescue the insurer. The insurer has since collapsed.
