# Cabinet delays further nitrogen plans by a few days

The cabinet will not, after all, present a further elaboration of its nitrogen plans on Friday afternoon. Agriculture minister Jaimi van Essen is taking a few more days before he announces it.

Van Essen was due to make the details public after extensive consultation with farmers' organisations, among others. On Friday morning he was still at the table with LTO and NAJK.

After the council of ministers (ministerraad) met, Van Essen wanted to "put the finishing touches on it" first. He is taking a few more days to do so.
