# Albert Heijn, Etos and Gall & Gall websites and apps down after 'IT incident'

Supermarket chain Albert Heijn, health and beauty chain Etos and off-licence chain Gall & Gall have had an "IT incident" since Sunday. A number of systems were switched off as a precaution, and the websites, apps and customer service of all three are temporarily unavailable.

Groceries ordered online from Albert Heijn cannot be delivered. The stores themselves remain open.

Albert Heijn said in a statement: "We took immediate measures to protect our IT environment. Part of that is the temporary, preventive switching off of a number of systems."

The company added: "We are investigating the incident and working to restore our services. Protecting the data of our customers, employees and partners is the priority."

The three chains belong to the same parent company, Ahold Delhaize.
